West Suburban STEM provides Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities for children and teens. These activities include robotics teams, math or computer science clubs, workshops and STEM fairs, and other programs as opportunities arise.
Through these programs, participants learn about engineering and design processes, computer programming, electronics, CAD, and other hands on skills. They also learn teamwork, leadership skills, critical thinking and problem solving, budgeting and business development skills, public speaking and communication, coaching and mentoring, fundraising and how to find and engage investors.
We supply equipment and funding to cover registration fees, travel and lodging for events, and other expenses, and participate in fundraising activities to support and promote these activities. We also provide adult volunteers and mentors, and opportunities for outreach to the local community.
